Restaurant Seagull, Paphos Cyprus 2012

Restaurant Seagull at Paphos, Cyprus is located at a beautiful place near the sea. We spent one week at Paphos and this was the best restaurant of all the restaurants we visited during our holiday. View from the terrace tables to the sea is so relaxing that you could spend a whole day just looking at the horisont and dream. When we had a dinner we were very lucky to see two children dancing on the beach. They were amazing! Obviously they were practising to a dancing competition.

Locally Seagull is known of its fresh incredients and food’s good quality. They have stylish website and free WiFi is provided in all over the restaurant. It was difficult to decide what to select from the menu because they all sounded so delicious. As a starter we chose Prosciuotto with melon (6,90€). We shared the starter which tasted delicious after hot, sunny day!  Fresh breeze on a warm evening.

Main course was Pan roasted Salmon Fillet with bearnaise sauce and leeks served with buttered boiled potatoes and vegetables (16,90€).

Food was served hot directly from the kitchen which gave a good impress of restaurant.

Salmon’s bearnaice sauce was well made and gave  nice touch to Salmon. The fresh leek on top of the portion was visually good idea and suited the taste well. The portion looked nice and it showed that too many flavors were not mixed on the plate.

Another main course was Grilled Sea Bass served with olive oil (15,50€).

Grilled Sea Bass was tasty and had just right amount of salt. The portion included potatoes as well. Olive oil was a perfect sauce for the fish. It didn’t taste just an olive oil, the taste was a little bit salty and had a nuance of fresh herbs.

Desserts were Pannacotta served with fresh strawberry sauce and Berrylicious ice-cream. So good! Because main course was so light we still had room for something sweet in our stomachs 🙂 And of course two espressos were mandatory for us! By the way, they serve excellent espresso but unfortunately we didn’t ask the brand.

We had dinner at the terrace which was nice but we could have had eaten inside as well. Decoration inside is stylish and modern but still comfortable and attractive. The service was very good. We kind of knew the waiter because we were stopped by the restaurant several times earlier at the week for espressos or wine glasses. We felt ourselves welcomed and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.

4-stars visit.
